Sweet & Smokey Slow Cooker Pulled Pork



While cooking, this Sweet & Smokey Slow Cooker Pulled Pork is soft, juicy, and full of flavor. It's the perfect meal for a busy day because it doesn't take much work and tastes great. Putting together sweet BBQ sauce, sour apple cider vinegar, and smokey spices makes a dish that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions:

In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper

Place pork shoulder in the slow cooker

Pour the sauce mixture over the pork

Add chicken broth to the slow cooker

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks

Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix well with the sauce

Let it cook for an additional 30 minutes on low

Serve the pulled pork on buns or with your favorite sides
